Josh did a great job with customer service before the sale and followed up after the sale to resolve the one minor "glitch" I had. The high quality construction of this grill is evident throughout, from heavy ceramic to stainless steel hardware, which for me is a must, living in corrosive salt air location. I liked that everything was included, like multi-level stainless grates, ash removal pan, split charcoal holder and ceramic plates for offset cooking. There is enough room between the ash pan and the charcoal holder for fire starters, so they easily ignite the charcoal without getting 'smothered'. I just light them and walk away with vents fully open. Super hot and ready to go in 20 minutes.
The one "glitch" I mentioned was the stainless heat shield plate under the unit. The first one was undersized. They responded immediately to email and shipped a replacement right away. This one was better, but still not reaching the notches on the legs to keep it above the wood support base. They shipped another slightly larger plate and it fit perfectly.
Any company can get good reviews when nothing goes wrong. To me, the measure of a really good company and people is how they react when things do not go perfectly. Granted, mine was a minor issue, but they stuck with it and made sure I was happy and they did it willingly and very promptly. That is a mark of a good outfit.
Looking forward to pork shoulder, then on to the brisket.
