World's Most Versatile Outdoor Cooker

High-Temp Searing

Drop the cooking grids down near the fire to quickly sear at temperatures up to 1,000° F. Great for rare, or medium rare steaks, burgers, chops and more. Also great for reverse searing a steak fillet.

Standard Grilling

Bring the cooking grids up to grill foods at temperatures between 400 and 500° F. Great for those who love their meat “done”. Embues slightly more of a charcoal flavor than simply searing.

Oven Roasting

Keep the cooking grids up and use a heat deflector to roast at between 400 and 450° F. Roast foods like whole chicken, roast beef, prime rib roast, potatoes and more.

Baking

Use your heat deflector for convection oven-like baking at temperatures between 250 and 375° F. Baking is ideal for casseroles, lasagna, bread and more. You can even bake desserts like cake and cookies.

Smoking

Put in your heat deflector, for indirect heat, and add wood chips to smoke at temperatures between 200 and 275° F. Smoke almost anything, like ribs, pork shoulder, prime rib and more.

Wood-Fired Pizza Oven Baking

Put a pizza stone down where your heat deflector goes and raise the temperature to 600 to 650° F for authentic wood-fired pizza oven baking. 600° F as measured at the dome is approximately 700° F on top of the pizza stone.

Griddling/Pan-Frying

Put your Saffire Grid Griddle in to griddle or pan-fry anything you like. Pancakes, eggs, bacon strips, sirlon steaks and more.

A Saffire is All You Really Need

Now you won’t need five or more different cookers on your patio. One Saffire can replace all of these:

  • Char-Broil gas grill
  • Weber charcoal grill
  • Masterbuilt smoker
  • Traeger pellet grill
  • Ooni pizza oven
  • Blackstone flat top grill

Cook it all in one Saffire grill!

Game-Changing Saffire Innovation

  • Greater Efficiency
Adding smoking chips to your grill is easy with Saffire's patented Smokin' Chip Feeder, simply remove the Smokin' Chip Feeder port cap, insert the Feeder tool, and twist the tool slightly to make the chips slide in

Leading Innovation with the Patented Smokin' Chip Feeder

  • Add wood chips without opening up the grill

All Stainless Steel Hardware

304 stainless steel is one of the most durable and rust-resistant, food-grade metal alloys available. All of our Platinum models include 304 stainless steel bands, handles, chimney tops, hinges, springs and carts/side shelves (where included).

Saffire does offer a powder-coated hardware option in our less expensive Bronze lineup, but for the longest-lasting kamado experience, we recommend the 304 stainless steel found in our Platinum lineup.

304 Stainless Steel Hardware

The XL Saffire is the kamado grill for premium-quality food for large families and parties. With 415 in2 of cooking space and the possibility to have up to 680 in2 of cooking space, or 1095 in2 of smoking space, the XL Platinum Saffire makes for a monster-sized ceramic kamado grill! Add the Secondary Cooking Grid for an additional 265 in2 of cooking space. For the most smoking space, add an additional cooking grid at the bottom near the heat deflector, and a Secondary Cooking Grid up above, to smoke on three levels at the same time. Feeds 12 or more adults, and comes with all the same great features that the Large Saffire grill has to offer, including the Smokin’ Chip Feeder for easy smoking, 304 stainless steel hardware, and the super durable and easy to clean Crucible Kamado Firebox.

Cook anything on your Saffire kamado grill, in style! Saffire’s all-natural lump charcoal will have your neighbors coming over for a bite after they’ve smelled the smokey, sizzling aroma of your food. The ceramics in your grill hold in the heat for the most juicy flavors you, or your neighbor, have ever had! I purchased the Saffire grill as a birthday gift for my wife to replace a small smoker that just was too small and took a lot of attention. I have only used it 3 times so far. The weather is too hot to smoke during the summer and I just use the gas grill for quick meals. I finally figured out how to regulate the heat and knew that it would take me a couple of days to cook everything I wanted. I cook a lot when I light up a fire because of the heat and will not do it unless it is really necessary. I used the lump charcoal they recommended and was glad I did. They cost more but burn a hotter and longer fire. I decided to purchase the second grid which made it easier. I cooked 2 briskets, 2 pulled pork, 2 slabs of pork ribs and smoked sausage after the fire was cooling down. It took all day each day, but I got it done and was very pleased with the results. I've never been able to smoke a brisket in the past and had given up. Now I will do them more often. I plan to smoke a couple of turkeys for Thanksgiving and expect them to be great. The grill is very easy to clean and I recommend you clean it after each use. I figured out how to catch the grease and that made the job even easier. If you are thinking about a smoker, you may want to consider the Saffire grill. It was worth the money to purchase it and I just wish I'd done it sooner.

  3. Absolutely superb grill and smoker, best one I’ve ever owned. After some practice I can now get it stable at temperatures around 200F for hours without having to adjust anything. Perfect for smoking brisket and other delicacies that takes a long time to finish. The salmon recipe on the siffiregrills.com website is also something that I have made many times when we had guests visiting here in Sweden where we moved due to work, and of course brought the saffire grill with us since we can’t live without it…I can tell, the neighbors are jealous… Many people here in Sweden wonder where we bought the grill and they get a little disappointed when they realize they have to go to the US and buy it and check in a 250 pound piece at the airport 🙂 Buy it, you won’t be disappointed but rather fascinated by the possibilities you have acquired to make extremely fine high end food 🙂

  4. Blows Big Green Egg away in terms of heft and quality. We live on the Gulf Coast, so the stainless hardware is a huge plus.

  5. Thank you Anders for your kind review! Glad you were able to order yours before your move, and we’re happy to hear your Saffire is a big hit with your neighbors in Sweden! We do have a few distributors in Europe, so if your neighbors ever do want a Saffire, just get them in touch with us and we can refer them to someone they can order one from. We would love to have our grills in every continent, if possible!

Q & A

How thick is the ceramic on your platinum XL kamado? Chad asked on May 20, 2024

All of our grills have a 1" thick ceramic base and dome, which is why they are as heavy as they are!
