World's Most Versatile Outdoor Cooker
High-Temp Searing
Drop the cooking grids down near the fire to quickly sear at temperatures up to 1,000° F. Great for rare, or medium rare steaks, burgers, chops and more. Also great for reverse searing a steak fillet.
Standard Grilling
Bring the cooking grids up to grill foods at temperatures between 400 and 500° F. Great for those who love their meat “done”. Embues slightly more of a charcoal flavor than simply searing.
Oven Roasting
Keep the cooking grids up and use a heat deflector to roast at between 400 and 450° F. Roast foods like whole chicken, roast beef, prime rib roast, potatoes and more.
Baking
Use your heat deflector for convection oven-like baking at temperatures between 250 and 375° F. Baking is ideal for casseroles, lasagna, bread and more. You can even bake desserts like cake and cookies.
Smoking
Put in your heat deflector, for indirect heat, and add wood chips to smoke at temperatures between 200 and 275° F. Smoke almost anything, like ribs, pork shoulder, prime rib and more.
Wood-Fired Pizza Oven Baking
Put a pizza stone on your grids and raise the temperature to 600 to 650° F for authentic wood-fired pizza oven baking.
Griddling/Pan-Frying
Put your Saffire Grid Griddle in to griddle or pan-fry anything you like. Pancakes, eggs, bacon strips, sirlon steaks and more.

The Large Saffire Carbon Black kamado offers grilling experiences suitable for most families. With up to 464 in2 of cooking space, the Large is big enough to cook the main course for a party, yet small enough to justify dinner for two. The main cooking grid offers a spacious 284 in2 of cooking space, but add your included Secondary Cooking Grid in for an additional 180 in2! This is the size that people look for first in a kamado grill. However, there isn’t anything “average” about this grill. Featuring the Revolutionary Crucible Kamado Firebox, with our very own twelve fire brick design to relieve stress and reduce breakage. The Smokin’ Chip Feeder system allows the easiest and “on-demand” smoke you will find in any smoker. Grilling is easy too!
