Replacement stainless steel spring for our Medium, Large and XL Saffire kamado grills. See below for a spring details.

A 1″ wide stainless steel spring for Large Saffire hinges, made of 8 AWG, or 1/8″ diameter, wire. The spring has 12 coils, with a 2.5″ distance between the furthest inner bend of each hook, while no tension is applied. The distance across the coils themselves is 1 and 11/16″, with no tension.

For reference, the distance between the posts for the dome and the posts for the base of our Large hinges is 4 3/8″.

All Stainless Steel Hardware

304 stainless steel is one of the most durable and rust-resistant, food-grade metal alloys available. All of our Platinum models include 304 stainless steel bands, handles, chimney tops, hinges, springs and carts/side shelves (where included).

Saffire does offer a powder-coated hardware option in our less expensive Bronze lineup, but for the longest-lasting kamado experience, we recommend the 304 stainless steel found in our Platinum lineup.

The Medium and Large Saffire uses two springs. The XL Saffire from 2024 and later uses four springs. If you have an XL Saffire and don’t know how many springs you should have, please contact us.
