This agreement is between you and Home Fires Inc (“Us”, “We”). These terms govern the Saffire Grill affiliate program, which is run through our website. By signing up to become a Saffire Grills affiliate, or giving out your affiliate code to others, you agree to be bound by these terms.

How it Works

Once your affiliate account is approved, you will be given access to our affiliate dashboard where you can find numerous methods for sharing your affiliate code with your friends, colleagues or online in an ethical and responsible manner (see Restrictions). Each new customer that makes a purchase using your affiliate code will earn you a commission once their product is shipped (see Commission and Discount). The new customer can optionally get a discount as well (see Commission and Discount), contact us for options. Once your commission reaches a certain threshold (see Payout), we will pay you the full amount of your unpaid commission.

Commission and Discount

Each affiliate code we approve for you will earn you a 10% commission on each sale made by a new customer of ours, after any discounts on the order are applied. Your commission will only be counted once the customer’s order has shipped. The customer must have your affiliate code applied in the system when they checkout on our website for the commission to be credited to you. At your request, we may lower the commission of your affiliate code in order to provide new customers with an attractive discount (for example, perhaps you want to give people more of an incentive to click your link, or you want to share the benefits of your affiliate code with a friend or coworker). Ask us if splitting your commission with new customers interests you.

Payout

When you have accrued earnings of $50 or more, we will cut you a check at the end of the month and send it to the physical address tied to your affiliate account. Before we can pay any amount to you, you must fill out and send Us a W-9 (see form here) so we can keep it on file for our tax purposes. If, at the end of the year, you have accrued earnings less than $50, we will cut you a single check for whatever earnings you have accrued in that year.

Product Restrictions

The affiliate commission will only apply to sales including our grills and fire pits. Your affiliate code can also only give new customers a discount off of our grills and fire pits, if any discount is applied at all. Please keep this in mind while promoting our products.

Geographical Restrictions

Please note that we only ship products within the United States, and to Canada. As such, we cannot honor any sales to any customers outside of these two countries. Please keep that in mind while promoting our products to your audience.

Promotional Restrictions

We love that you want to promote Saffire products to the world! Before we get into what you can’t do with your affiliate code, here are examples of things you can do:

  • Share why you love a Saffire product with your friends, family, or colleagues, mention that a purchase would help you out as an affiliate and share your affiliate QR code so they can get a discount too.
  • Write about a Saffire product on a blog post on your own website, mention that you are an affiliate and provide your affiliate link to website visitors.
  • Put your affiliate code in the description box of a YouTube video you make about a Saffire product, and mention that you are an affiliate, or optionally put the affiliate code in the video itself. (YouTube also requires you notify them for each video you make that contains affiliate content.)
  • In a forum thread where someone is asking about which fire pit to purchase, you can mention the benefits of a Saffire fire pit, mention that you are an affiliate and give the affiliate code. (Only where allowed by the posted forum rules.)

You agree not to use your affiliate code in any unethical manner, or in, near or in connection to any unethical content. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • You agree not to use your own affiliate code to acquire any Saffire products for yourself or your household. Any affiliate that breaks this rule immediately forfeits any and all future commission and payouts. We reserve the right to permanently ban any affiliate that breaks this rule.
  • You agree not to use your affiliate code in connection with spam, including:
    • in spam emails
    • in cold calls or robocalls
    • in any forum posts where this would be against the posted rules
    • in any comment field, including on YouTube videos, where the comment is out of context (for example, you post about how great a Saffire Medium grill is in a comment on a video about mushrooms)
    • in any way that it would generally be considered spam or spam-y.
  • You agree not to use your affiliate code in connection with any obscene or lewd content, such as near or on a website that includes or promotes pornography of any kind.
  • You agree not to use your affiliate code in connection with any content that promotes violence or discrimination.

Honesty and FTC Regulations

The Federal Trade Commission has the power to fine businesses and affiliates who don’t follow honest and ethical standards when promoting products. As a Saffire affiliate, be sure to:

  • Mention that you are a Saffire affiliate when you are reviewing our products or giving out your affiliate code. You can work in that you are compensated when people use your affiliate code to make a purchase however you like, as long as it is generally considered honest and ethical. Don’t be too vague.
  • Always share your real beliefs, opinions and/or personal experiences. Don’t lie.
  • Be accurate when giving facts about Saffire products. Don’t say a product is made of glass when it is made of stainless steel. If you have any questions about Saffire products, look up the product on our website, or ask if you still have questions.

Liability

You agree that you will remain liable for your content, and that you will indemnify and hold Us harmless from any claims, losses, damages, lawsuits, settlements, judgments, actions, or any other negative consequences that may arise from your content, including:

  • Anything related to your website, blog posts, videos, social media posts or comments.
  • Any misrepresentation on your part about our products or Us.
  • Any agreement you break.

Miscellaneous

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to any customer, including any customer referred by your affiliate code, at any time and for any reason.
  • We reserve the right to refuse entry into our affiliate program to any person or business, at any time and for any reason. We further reserve the right to remove any person or business from our affiliate program at any time and for any reason.
  • If you violate any part of this agreement, any unpaid commission(s) you have accrued up to that point will be immediately forfeited.
  • You or We may terminate this agreement at any time.
  • The laws of the state of Illinois will govern this agreement, without reference to any choice of law rules. Any action related to this agreement must be brought in the courts in Rockford, IL.
  • This agreement may be amended and the Saffire Grills affiliate program may be terminated at any time, with or without prior notice.
